Murat Koyuncu holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Washington, Seattle (2009), and a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MA in Economics from Middle East Technical University, Ankara. He is a faculty member at the Department of Economics at Boğaziçi University since 2009 and currently a visiting faculty at McGill University. His research focuses on growth theory and inequalities, development economics and the political economy of social conflicts. His work has been supported by European Commission’s Marie Curie IRG and GF grants. His articles have appeared in Economic Letters, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Macroeconomic Dynamics and Journal of Public Economic Theory. He recently co-edited a volume on Turkish economy, “Geçmişten Geleceğe Türkiye Ekonomisi” (İletişim Yayınları).
