Rahmİ Çemen

Rahmi Çemen is a PhD candidate in Comparative Politics at the University of Florida. Prior to joining UF, Rahmi earned his Master’s (Political Science) and Bachelor’s (Political Science and Economics) degrees from Ohio University. He has lived and conducted fieldwork in Turkey for his dissertation, which focuses on the Europeanization of asylum and migration policy. His work has appeared in Southeast European and Black Sea Studies and Florida Journal of Turkey and Turkish Studies. In his free time Rahmi tries to live a statistically significant life.

Research interests:
Welfare in emerging markets, social policy, democracy promotion, asylum and migration policy, Turkish politics, Europeanization, qualitative and quantitative research methods.
