Our Project Leader Dr. Kerem Yıldırım has been offered a Visiting Assistant Professor position at Sabancı University Political Science Department, Istanbul, starting from Fall term 2017. We congratulate him on his success!

Our Supervisor Researcher Asst. Prof. Burak Gürel presented a paper, which is titled “The politics of social assistance in contemporary Asia: comparative analysis of China, India, and Turkey” and co-authored by Asst. Prof. Erdem Yörük, at the West Asia Meeting, in the University of Sussex, on May 16, 2017.

We have started an article project on China with Yao Li, a postdoctoral fellow at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard Kennedy School.

Our Principal Investigator Asst. Prof. Erdem Yörük and Supervisor Researcher Asst. Prof. Burak Gürel made a presentation and introduced the Emerging Welfare Project to Indian Institute of Human Development on January 31, 2017.
